Fire Drake was originally released on August 1994 with the release of the Dark Magic The Gathering edition. This card has since been reprinted in 3 sets, with the artistry all being drawn by the same artist.
With the release of the Fifth Edition version of Fire Drake on March 1997, The flavortext on Fire Drake was modified to read: Brimstone marks this drake's territory. Unfortunately for travelers, all of the Burning Isles smell likewise.
