Balduvian Barbarians was originally released on June 1995 with the release of the Ice Age Magic The Gathering edition. This card has since been reprinted in 5 sets, with 2 artists contributing to the various card designs.
With the release of the Sixth Edition version of Balduvian Barbarians on April 27, 1999, The flavortext on Balduvian Barbarians was modified to read: "Barbarian raids were a concern to those living in the northwest provinces, but the skyknights never dealt with the problem in a systematic way.
