Armor of Faith was originally released on June 1995 with the release of the Ice Age Magic The Gathering edition. This card has since been reprinted in 2 sets, with the artistry all being drawn by the same artist.

With the release of the Fifth Edition version of Armor of Faith on March 1997, The flavortext on Armor of Faith was modified to read: "Keep your chain mail, warrior. I have my own form of protection." —Halvor Arenson, Kjeldoran priest
