Amulet of Kroog was originally released on March 1994 with the release of the Antiquities Magic The Gathering edition. This card has since been reprinted in 3 sets, with the artistry all being drawn by the same artist.
With the release of the Fourth Edition version of Amulet of Kroog on April 1995, The flavortext on Amulet of Kroog was modified to read: Among the first allies Urza gained were the people of Kroog.
